SystemCom along with CyberOwl invite you to participate in one of the world’s largest dedicated maritime cybersecurity conferences – Cybersecure at Sea 2022: Making Smarter Progress.

This year the conference will be hybrid. The event will be streamed live from physical events in Athens and Singapore. We would love to see you there in person, but if you cannot make it we will see you online.

Cybersecure at Sea 2022 will look at how to make smarter progress in maritime cyber security – smarter readiness, smarter compliance, smarter supply chains, and a smarter balance between risk management and risk transfer.

In particular, we are exploring the following key themes:

  • The first 24 hours of a maritime cyber incident: Those that have survived an actual cyber incident know firsthand that cyber risk management is not just technical. We will work through the commercial, operational, legal, insurance, and reputational implications of a cyber incident, based on an actual cyber incident on shipping systems.
  • Maritime cybersecurity regulation 2.0: After a year of enforcement of IMO 2021, what shape have inspections and notations taken? Is there any hope of harmonization and consistency? How does the shipowner respond?
  • Supply chain risk: Securing vessel and digitalization systems requires working with your supply chain. But this isn’t necessarily straightforward in shipping. What are lessons learned and best practices in managing supply chain risks?
  • Maritime cyber insurance: Many shipowners are still undecided on cyber insurance for their fleet. What are the lessons and strategies of those that have taken the leap?

Last year, this flagship event was attended by 350+ shipping cybersecurity professionals from 80 different shipping companies and 30 countries.

This is the 3rd edition of the conference. We will keep working hard to make sure we keep this a sales-free environment genuinely focused on learning, experience-sharing, and building a global support network.
