The heart of the Greek information technology community was beating at the 𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲 𝐒𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐭 @ Costa Navarino last week. Academics and leading executives had the opportunity to watch interesting presentations and discussion panels and meet and exchange ideas in a scenic environment and a perfectly-organized event by BOUSSIAS.

Our Managing Director, Mr. Dimosthenis Georgacopoulos, participated in the summit and returned with key takeaways, some of which we are sharing hereafter:
✔ The automation of digital processes and the increase in productivity in their organizations is the primary concern of IT executives. So, we need to look for innovative solutions to help them achieve their goals.
✔ While the digital environment is quickly transforming, IT executives are challenged to adapt and effectively manage the arising cyber risks to keep their organizations secure. Some parameters of this challenge are the lack of recourses, both financial and manpower. So, we need to provide the tools to help them get visibility, set priorities and easily communicate with the BOD the benefits of investing in cybersecurity.
✔ The fast adoption of new technologies by organizations is not always accompanied by fast familiarization with them from the people involved. So, we need to work on building a digital and security culture in organizations from top to bottom and make the most of what the new technology solutions can.
✔ The lack of tech talent and the necessity to help women to pursue careers in the IT & Cybersecurity sector are significant issues. So, we need to find short-term solutions to cover the immediate needs of our sector, and also build a long-term strategy since it seems to be something we will live with in the years to come.

IT executives have a critical role in organizations’ operations. Providing them with the solutions and expertise is essential to help them grow their businesses and bring positive results to the country’s economy.
